Lavenham is an English manufacturer of superior quality country clothing and horse rugs. The brand was founded in 1969 and made the first nylon quilted horse rug, closely followed by matching jackets and waistcoats for the rider. The name quickly spread and Lavenham established a reputation of quality and durability through its nylon quilted products.
30 years on, all manufacturing is still in-house, each stage of production is closely overseen at their Sudbury premises, from cutting, quilting to the final inspection of the goods. The best raw materials are sourced within the British Isles, right down to the interlining used.
There are 3 styles of jackets, The ‘Colchester’ with throat tab, adjustable cuffs & button up front, available in two colors, Aegean Chambray or Sage,
secondly, The ‘Kelvedon’ which has a removable hood & zippered front with storm flap & finally the ‘Denham Rib’ also available in two colors, Pale Pistachio or Sage. This is the simplest of the three jackets & features snap buttoned front & ribbed cuffs.
A couple of handy Quilted Tote bags, in Deep Marine or Black to finish off

Individualized Shirts was formed in 1961. The concept was then, as it is today, to provide custom made shirts at a price point competitive with better ready made shirts. Based in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, they employ a huge amount of people from the surrounding area, train them extensively & thus put out a quality product. Held in very high regard by the Japanese market for many years, Individualized were recently presented with a commemorative book about themselves as a mark of respect.
Following our factory visit back in March 2009 we recently received our first pieces – some classic oxford shirts with band collars, in a contemporary slim fit.
Still to come are some check & gingham shirts with button down collars.
