'R20 S4 OD Shirt' (Akane Dorozome Itajime)

Long sleeve shirt in a high density cotton, linen parachute cloth hand dyed with pigment from madder root, sourced from India and traditionally used in Japanese dyeing. The pigment is first boiled to deepen its colour, before the garment is repeatedly immersed and rinsed many times to achieve a vivid red hue known as Akane. The cloth is then folded and clamped between wooden boards in the Itajime shibori method, before Dorozome (mud–dyeing) in the island's iron–rich mud, dorotetsu. Woven in Shizouka and hand–dyed in Amami–Ōshima. Features high stand collar, button front, large chest pocket and 15mm Corozo buttons. Relaxed, straight fit
