Description

Leather jacket in a vegetable tanned leather made from horsehide, using a tanning technique called pit-tanning. The hides are soaked for a long time in a pit filled with vegetable resin tannin. The soaking phase takes about a month – only a few companies practice this method in Japan. Carefully hand-dyed one by one in Amami Oshima Island. Features two large patch pockets, wool / linen fabric lining, engraved iron buttons used on coveralls from the 1910s, with a rusted finish.
