Description

Long sleeve popover shirt based on a work shirt from the 1910's discovered in Ohio. The fabric is made of undyed, uncarbonized wool yarn for the weft, and undyed USA Superior Pima organic cotton yarn for the warp. A deep black dyeing technique is used to absorb light and create a depth in blackness. This technique has been developed by Kyoto Montsuki, a brand dedicated to dyeing kuromontsuki, the traditional Japanese formal wear, for over a century. Features throat tab, chest pocket with pen-holder pocket, wide front placket, mother of pearl buttons and curved hem with gusset detail
